About me
Introduction
I work as a physiotherapist at SUHK Myyrmäki. I have a relaxed and collaborative approach to physiotherapy. It is important to me to understand each client’s situation as a whole and to build the rehabilitation process together based on their individual goals.
How can I help you?
I can help you with a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions, including problems affecting the back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee and ankle. You are also welcome to book an appointment for rehabilitation following an injury or surgery, or when you want to safely return to exercise, training or sports.
You can also book an appointment with me for sports massage.
In physiotherapy, we work together to identify factors related to your symptoms, assess your functional capacity and set clear goals for your rehabilitation. The rehabilitation process is individually tailored to your situation, goals and everyday life.
I place particular emphasis on therapeutic exercise and progressive rehabilitation. The goal is not only to reduce symptoms, but also to improve your functional capacity and help you return to the activities that are important to you – whether that means everyday activities, exercise, hobbies or sports.
My expertise
I have a particular interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy, and one of my key strengths is planning and implementing therapeutic exercise. Exercise is always individually tailored according to your symptoms, functional capacity, goals and current level.
In rehabilitation, I utilise progressive strength, mobility and movement control exercises. The aim is to improve your functional capacity and tolerance to physical load over the long term, while providing you with the tools to maintain and further develop your physical capacity independently.
My background
In my free time, I enjoy strength training at the gym and playing ball sports, and my own background in sports is also reflected in my work. I am particularly interested in ice hockey and football. I have a competitive background in ice hockey as well as recreational experience in a wide range of other ball sports.
I am particularly interested in physiotherapy science and the continuous development of the profession. I enjoy seeking out new information, critically evaluating research evidence and considering how it can be applied to physiotherapy practice for the benefit of my clients.
