Sports massage
Sports massage is based on classical massage and it is suitable for working and elderly people, as well as for athletes. Massage relaxes muscles and improves blood flow and metabolism. It also improves the elasticity of muscles and tendons. Massage relieves pain and it has positive effects on stress. Massage can be an excellent addition to an athlete’s or exerciser’s muscle maintenance.

Who is sports massage suitable for?
Sports massage is well suited for athletes and so-called ‘ordinary’ people, regardless of age. Sports massage is more efficient compared to classical massage. More versatile grasps are used and the treatment’s strength is regulated to achieve the best result possible. The training and competition programs are also considered when evaluating the need for athlete’s massage impact.
Neck and shoulder pain is a fairly common issue among people over 30, affecting about one third of people at some point. The most common cause of neck and shoulder pain is a benign muscle tension in the neck and shoulder area. Stress and psychological factors often worsen the sensation of pain and muscle tightness. In addition to pain, problems in the neck and shoulder region may include reduced functional ability and work capacity, as well as limited range of motion in the head and neck.
There are often multiple contributing factors at the same time, and the exact cause of the pain is not always identified. Movements and working positions that strain the neck increase the risk of neck and shoulder pain. The neck is particularly stressed by twisting or bending it backward, as well as working with the arms raised. A working posture that involves twisting the body also increases the risk of neck pain.
If the pain is not severe, it is recommended to continue treatment and muscle exercises.
